Most Favourite Electronic Gift Card Galactico Continues to Boost its Sales

In the last year, customers have purchased 227 thousand electronic Galactico gift cards in the shopping centres managed by Linstow Center Management (LCM) with a total value of almost 5 million lats. If compared with 2011, the number of cards sold has grown by almost 5% or 10 thousand, with their total value increased by almost 5% or over 225,000 lats.

Evija Majevska, Commercial Director of Shopping Centres, SIA Linstow Center Management, says, “First electronic gift cards issued by LCM were marketed in late October 2006.During these years, they have become leaders in the electronic gift card market and they can boast of an ever-growing popularity. All Galactico shopping centres are proud of increase of electronic gift card sales. In addition to individual customers that have always been active, in the last year the number of cards sold to companies has shown a particular growth tendency, of 9%.”

E-shop, a new and innovative gift card ordering system, was introduced late enabling customers to order and buy Galactico gift cards online. Customers have already appreciated advantages and expediency of e-shop. If earlier gift cards that were popular among customers could only be purchased either at information centres of the Galactico shopping centres or at the offices of SIA Dāvanu karte, now it can be done using the e-shop option at the Galactico web site www.galactico.lv; both individuals and legal entities can purchase gift cards online, pay by wire transfer, bank payment card or the DnB banka and Swedbank internetbanks and order its delivery at the desirable address, either that of the recipient or oneself.

For more than three years Galactico Privilege Programme has been offering Galactico privilege cards to its customers. The Privilege Programme was launched to give an opportunity to loyal customers to save and pay less using discounts now and enjoy discounts for future purchases in the form of a gift card. The current Privilege Programme participants are active users of cards indeed, up to five times a month. This indicator proves again that this is what customers really need and that these cards are part and parcel of everyday life of customers. In 2012, 8000 new Galactico privilege cards have been issued to our loyal customers.
